It's amazing how many "forward thinking" friends of mine fail to make the connection between reducing taxes and INCREASING revenue. A smaller piece of a larger pie is the very definition of a win/win for the economy (translated, "us") and the govern…

How true this is. Our busy lifestyles don't allow us to stop and really contemplate life. To plan out our lives on paper is even more difficult. This should be on everyone's to do list for 2010!

Amen. Apparently a mass affliction and/or infection of the political body of dislexia. The "Public Servants" are now addressing the "Servant Public".... The book "Atlas Shrugged" is looking more and more like a forecast, not fiction.

The New Jobless Era . . . NOT!

My friend Matt Haze sent me an article today from the Atlantic Magazine, here's the link: http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/201003/jobless-america-future. It's entitled The New Jobless Era and goes into a lot of detail about how bad the economic and employment conditions are going to be over the next 5 to 10 years.

In fairness, you need to read the article, it is well written and seriously researched. Then I want you to rea… Continue

Sedona Business Wisdom

There is a very special energy in Sedona. It's more than the beauty of the red rock formations and the Mogollon Rim - even though mother nature has truly blessed this place. This special energy is about the human spirit - it is soulful and sacred.

Laurie and I were called here to launch our new ventures. We knew it was a place of higher consciousness and deeper wisdom. And, we understood that Free Enterprise Warriors was meant to be grounded in this energy vortex. It is a place unique in the wo… Continue

Zen and the Art of Making Things Happen

Zig Ziglar says that most people spend more time planning a two-week vacation than they do in thinking about their life goals. Most of the research I have read about this says that less than 10% of people have written goals. And, those 10% earn, o… Continue

A Free and Open Society

This weekend has re-enforced my deep belief in the wisdom, creativity and benefits of a free society.

I have been reading books by David Boaz (http://www.davidboaz.com/) of the Cato Institute (http://www.cato.org/) and realizing two important facts: 1) freedom of choice, local control and free markets are the best ways for more people to get what they want and for a society to remain healthy, and 2) our American economy is rapidly being taken over and encumbered by the "iron triangle" of bureau… Continue

Unleashing Your Inner Entrepreneur

Based on the great responses from our first Business Activation Training event, we have added several upgrades for our next seminar on June17th at the new Sheraton in Tarrytown, NY. You can register at http://tinyurl.com/pywetj.

First, there are three secret strategies that entrepreneurs use to launch and grow their own businesses. They're not secret in that no one knows them, they are just hidden from view. Most people don't recognize or understand them, and even many entrepreneu… Continue

It was really good to hear your voice on the "Radio" cast over the internet. When I first saw your picture I called Wendy to see how your looks have changed. She reminded me it has been over ten years and I have changed in appearinces in that time too. Thanks for staying in touch. I will look forward to next weeks broadcast. Thank You!!

Hi Dave and Laurie

I accidently purged your email yesterday but wanted to respond to the question of what areas have been super responsive to seminars. I have found my 'always produce good groups' is California, both north and southern, Florida, Illinois (Chicago and surrounds), and Arizona. I have between 15 - 25 seminars per month and those can be counted on to have upwards of 130 - 300 people in attendance. (Depending on whether the content is reasonably newsworthy that is) Mine have been mostly in the real estate, attorney, cpa and mortgage arenas and they have been topics that pique interest.

I have done some motivational seminars but those are less well attended and I have seen a decline in that area. (probably due to the economy).

Also super important is your database and what kind of marketing you do. Mine is multi platform marketing, email, some snail mail (toward the attorney and CPA fields) but again, snail mail is becoming fairly obsolete and you have to really be smart about your envelope choice etc. Fax is a law suit waiting to happen.

I do an event planning and seminar marketing training so if you are interested, will give you the information. It is very well worth it especially if you are planning to do a lot of it. Alternatively, I could help you in your endeavors. Who is your target market?

I hope this was the right place to respond, or you could just email me back at felicity@maverickmarketing.us and we can do this communication via email.
